Driving issue
Cvt. Wasn't doing anything but driving on the side streets. Stopped, went to go and wouldnt move. When I pressed on the accelerator, white smoke came out of the exhaust. Had it towed to a shop, they drove it and said no issue. I parked and went to work yhe next mornong. Got to work fine but when I got into the parking lot it did it again and has been sitting since august.
Sounds like the trans is not getting the signal to engage , so it might be a good idea to do a visual inspection of all the wiring going to the trans. There might be a corroded or loose connection.
The white smoke is a concern because it might be because CVT fluid or coolant is getting into the combustion chambers of the engine.

Not sure so,,,,,,,,,,take a look at the front of your radiator and just below there, let us know if you see a a smaller type radiator wiith lines going to the trans, which would be the trans fluid cooler. Get back to us , thanks.
Sometimes the lines go to the side or bottom of the engine radiator. `We are not concerned with trans fluid temp, but something else.
