Default Do I have the right battery for my Fordwindstar 99

Hi to everyone,

this is my first thread and I have several problems that I need to fix on the family windstar ford 99 and I'm grateful to find this forum for some advise and suggestions from you guys. later I'll ask for some suggestion for the other problems I have with my Ford.

this might be a simple question but I don't want to create more problems to this van, I just purchase a new battery for the windstar in Costco and I found a battery with the right fitment #8 but not the matching number that the catalog suggested to be 59 so I got another battery with the same fitment #8 but the number is 58. would the number matter as long the fitment is right? any suggestions before I connect the new battery?

Thanks in advance guys!

If physical size and terminal location is suitable thats one thing but check cranking amps as the batttery your looking at might be too small for your particular vehicle especially if you have a lot of accessories like a/c etc.

CCA is important, but you need to keep in mind a high CCA rating battery may not fit in the vehicle properly. Best to go with what the manufacturer recommends.
