Trouble with PATS
About a month and a half ago my 2000 Mustang kept stalling or hard to start with the theft light flashing. Now it just quit but it is also blowing my #34 fuse (instrument cluster, PAT transceiver module, CCRM, Ign coil, and Ign transformer capacitor) The codes I got back where:
B1600 PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) ignition key transponder signal is not received
B1602 PATS received invalid format of key-code from ignition key transponder
B1681 PATS transceiver module signal is not received
B1232 Antenna not connected-defective transceiver
The only thing confusing me is the blowing of the fuse..
If anyone can give me any info it would be helpful, as I'm a retard when it comes to cars.. LOL.
Thanks in advance..
Davie Mac.

Hi Davie, welcome.
Something you might consider trying,
I haven't looked at a diagram for your vehicle yet, but since you know some of the things on that circuit , if you unplugged some of the components maybe you might be able to isolate the short. If that doesn't show anything might have to dig further. Can you do that?
