Good, can you find out if you have 4WD or 2WD?
If you have 4WD you can select the mode with a toggle switch or button to switch between 2WD or 4WD mode.

The PDF files below are huge and difficult to navigate here's the 3 index pages:

Don't know you have auto or manual hvac, Vacuum-Auto_HVAC.pdf and Vacuum-Manaul_HVAC.pdf are under "vacuum and vapor hose diagrams" so they are also included within the huge Diagrams-ALL.pdf, I pdf-generated them separately so they are easier to navigate and follow.

Above is the emission control, if you need any info on subsystem/component on the right side, let me know. I can't print pdf all of them, has to be done individually.
If you have any symptoms like hvac or lack of power when climbing the hill or a CEL or DTC (because of evap or egr) or braking problem (because of brake booster), you can narrow it down further.

Appears the black hose is labeled 14 on this diagram, coming from a vacuum source. Now to chase down that vacuum source

So you are saying just the vacuum source. That 14 gets vacuum from intake manifold, no question about it, but does it go thru a tee, and where that tee is. Try to trace the hose from the brake booster.
Attached below a PDF of intake manifold removal and install, it's probably near the rear closer to the firewall.
Snapshots of intake manifold removal shown below, I tried to enlarge the best I can:
